Perhaps you are here because you love learning, or maybe you find learning ehhh but have found a topic that piques your interest and need to know more. I am happy to have you here, just as you are!
Fun facts about your teacher: I’m extremely thoughtful, playful, and curious, and I absolutely adore learning. The secret is...
That wasn’t always the case. At an early age, school actually convinced me I wasn’t very good at learning at all and that I would always need to work really hard to learn. Hello, frustrating uphill battle for most of my early school experience. Gross. Anyone else been there?
What I know now, especially after working as an OT in the school system for the past decade, is that my teachers often didn’t know how my brain worked and how to support me as a learner.
They may have been really great at what they did, but they were not always great at getting me to process it. The classes that were most difficult lacked connection for me. I worked extremely hard, yet often felt behind.
As an adult, I have discovered how I learn best, leaned into my passions, and re-wrote the story from thinking I was bad at learning to become an enthusiastic forever student.
Even more so, I love to teach what I have learned in useful and engaging ways so that no matter your learning style, we may share knowledge and power with each other for the individual and collective good.
If you have questions, accessibility needs, or topics you want to see featured, let me know! I am here for you.
